Green belt - could be relaxed in places Welcoming new residents - produce a welcome pack such as that delivered by the parish church Farmers markets should include local farmers to showcase their produce one stop shop - could that be the library and open more? the co-op site + car park should be regenerated / redeveloped could provide a new centre for this end of the village where better new fac ilites are needed to serve the new and growing population

7.04 There are clearly section of the main road where double yellow lines are necessary, but they should be used with single yellow lines with constraints on parking at specific times (8.00am to 10.00am and 4.00pm to 6.00pm?). Traffic calming speed indicators would act as a reminder to those driving excessively fast. They would also be useful in particular "rat runs". Parking is not usually a problem at off peak times, therefore requires minimal use of double yellow lines. Currently the use of double yellow lines in Long Ashton seems to be inconsistant. Has their placing been decided by experienced road traffic engineers, or by parish councillors and residents who do not want parking adjacent to their property? An important factor is that parking restrictions should not, as far as possible, prejudice the running of local businesses. The lighting along the main road is largely lights hung on electricity poles. This does not satisfy the criteria that developers would have to adhere to. Is this not a safety worry? 11.09 Does not Gatcombe farm sell all produce available at a Farmers Market? 11.15 There are already many areas for dog walking. They should however be banned from sports field. 11.16 Should be intergrated with sports field and seating area. 11.22 & 11.23 These should be combined.
