With regard to medical services we have excellent facilities. Earlier this year when discharged from hospital I was given a number to phone as soon as I arrived home. Within half an hour a nurse from WSM arrived from the Rapid Response Team to arrange twice daily visits for washing dressing etc. This lasted for 2 weeks when the Intermediate Team took over for a period of 4 weeks. Physiotherapy was also included, all at a time convenient to the patient. When I said I could manage tp put myself to bed they agreed providing they could phone each evening to check. The "meals on wheels" service were advised which I still use. North Somerset is, I believe, one of the last local authorities to operate this. Hopefully Long ashton remains separate from Bristol for ever and does not fall foul as it did many yyears ago when the RDC lost Bower Ashton and Bishopsworth. We don't need a farmers market as we already have a wonderful farm shop at Gatcombe

Tighter control of drunk young people late at night in the village. Drugs enforcement i.e stop and searching by police, noise, anti-social behaviour controls and enforced. Teenagers or adults that cause damage made to pay for their criminal damage - named and shamed. Better health centre - doctors are useless. Shopping centre - as Nailsea. Good neighbour scheme - keep down noise as new people into the village seem to behave as they please and are not considerate to others.
