I have grave concerns about the pedestian crossing at the Co-op. On a great many occasions one car has stopped, I have started to walk across, the car on the other side doesn't. I feel this is a great danger to children in particular. I have been in contact with Trevor Byford and he says the police are aware of the problem and are hoping to back a puffin crossing. Perhaps we could all back this before a child is knocked down. There has already been one knocked down on the other village crossing for the same reason as described above. I have answered the questions on buses; however it is rather difficult to give the answers as I am a pensioner so get free transport - this does encourage me to use them more. I gather the C-op have put clamping signs in the car park behind them. This will not help the already obvious parking problem on the main road outside; this car park, as I understand it, is not entirely the Co-op's but part belongs to the local authority anyway. It should be made clear by the Co-op which are their parking spaces if they are making this claim. I also understanf d the vet practice has 2-3 spaces for their staff - even the GPs were never given parking spaces! 2-3 spaces is quite unnecessary - there is only one visiting vet as there is only one consulting room. I also feel the Co-op should be pressured into using their own rear loading bay. I gather it needs bringing up-to-date for Health and Safety. Their lorries cause a great many problems on the road. I have even seen them carry on with their manoeuvres and keep an emergency vehicle waiting.
