Cessation of further housing development
tagged with: housing development

This is an extra comment comment to questions 6.09 6.10 my daughter who lived in Long Ashton over 20 years and had 2 children born here was forced to move to Nailsea when she had to sell her home when her husband moved out, she didn't have enough money to buy another in Long Ashton, but had too much money for afforadable housing it was very upsetting for us. As for question 11.14 on allotments, I strongly disagree because there was allotments behind my flat when I moved in they've now been built on so I don't see any point in setting up anymore.

Only infill housing. To much random parking on the way thro. Hard Landscaping to the shopping areas is awful - need a full landscaping scheme.

Definitely a farmer's market. No more estate agents, finance etc, no bookmakers. A café /deli would be welcome for young and old but lively please. Community/volunterr transport for old/disabled people to attend doctors - clubs etc. No mor new build in vast numbers - swampimg the village facilities, doctors surgery/ nurses already over stretched. I do not agree with speed cameras - these are just a police /government fund raiser. Another silent tax. However controls telling people their speed, helps to make people aware. A lot of commuters know where the cameras are and slow down only to go twice as fast after.

Reported earlier in the year that Bristol City Council may be looking to build houses on the area behind David Lloyd's & Railway Line (BBC), which could affect LA (especially traffic). Would be good if Parish website / magazine could update the community on developments. Community events at new school?
