We are relative newcomers to the village, but i would like to see in future, the village to still identify itself as a village community, as it did when we first came. The parish council does excellent workand will remain key to achieving this. I would not like LA to become another soulless commuter suburb where everyone ois a stranger, where interest islimited to the walk from the front door to the car door.

Really affordable housing as a much larger % of private development railway station park & ride open on weekends

post office is important, next day delivery not guaranteed unless posted before 12pm, needs modernising inside, I would need 2 buses to get to work, speed and amount of traffic concerns, plus parking outside Toyota garage/top of Glebe road, makes access in and out of road difficult, parking also a problem along the Weston road where they are developing the old Research station

Unfortunately Long Ashton is quickly losing its village status due to the huge housing development at the western end. What would I like to see in the next five years? No more building!

Important to preserve beauty of landscape. Expansion of Long Ashton has gone far enough.

I think that the village has deterioriated in the past 6 years that I've lied here. Prior to the new estates. Little is done about the youths who hang about or the vandalism that gets committed. I had throw a rock at my car which bashed the door in. I'm still waiting after 4 years for the police to come. We need a police presence, never mind a once a week "clinic" and radar speed traps. What would I like to see? NO more housing estates built. I notice that Weston Road near the housing estate always is obstructed by parked cars. I would suggest that double yellow lines be painted on Weston Road and that cars breaking the rules either be towed away or clamped. This is for road alongside the new estates - people who live there should park on their estate and not on the main road.

LA no obvious centre, people use Bristol facilities because close, new development may increase shops which LAPC should, link road and new south west housing development will make village a suburb of bristol, LAPC should: fight development in ashton vale, promote an annual fair on the rec, ban lorries through village - providing number in local newsletters for reporting incidences, appoint a paid communty maintenance officer to maintain community facilities, advertise for volunteers to assist in particular projects eg paint doors, clear guttering etc.

The field at the entrance to the village opposite Ashton Court Estate should be kept free of buildings forever. Remove overhead cables throughout the main road in the village. More attractive road lighting. Make shop fronts more attractive.
