Not much to do for the elderly, plenty for the young

I own a mobile scooter, but am unable to use it to the villge shops (1 mile),because of inadequate footpaths and insufficient lowered kerbs at on/off points. INCONSIDERATE PARKING: When not in use, where a drive or hard standing is available, cars should be parked therein, not left on the road all day causing an obstruction. BANKING: There is a need for a Bank in Long Ashton, particularly with all the new properties soon to be occupied both here and the proposed new development on the Barrow Hospital site. More reasonably priced bungalows should be built in Long Ashton for elderly people who have, in past years, been active participants in many pursuits in the village, and do not wish to leave the area.

Not a great deal to add AFTER filling in all the questions, I don't partake very much because of my age.

Help for those in their eighties, especially gadening. A survey of them would be good

More awareness of elderly people living alone, particularly health and care. The local Health care should be 'au fait' with the elderly and infirm and not wait for them to appear at the Surgery when it might be too late.
