would like to see a fast and safe route into Bristol by bicycle, cycle way safe but too long, road quicker but riskier, would like to see allotments in LA, possibly community garden/allotment, would reduce the need to travel outside of LA for allotments, reduce car journeys, this facility would benefit young and old, intergenerational, build community, contribute to health, we need affordable public transport and housing

1. Any ways to decrease traffic flow in and out of the village at peak times. 2. Increase village "feel". 3. Decrease loutish behaviour. 4. More businesses to create jobs within the village (decreases traffic) 5. More facilities for older and younger members of the community. 6. Double yellow lines throughout Long Ashton/Weston Road. 7. Allotments great idea - more rural feel. 8. Better policing, especially for the Govers (Off-licence). 9. Put hold on building new homes as village cannot cope. 10. Must keep weekly refuse collection.

Leisure Centre including swimming pool (not private). More houses built. A Tesco Metro instead of a Co-op. A decent recycling centre in Co-op car park. Ban cyclists.

Get rid of the people on the council who have provided the village with a refuse tip. There seems to be no limit to the housing without any improvements to infrastructure, why? Anti-social behaviour by certain people within the village seems not to be dealt with, why? Is it true that the village (or individuals within it) will profit from the old Northleaze School site beng used as 'affordable housing' Why have roads within the village which have had surfaces severely damaged by construction traffic not been repaired at the cost of developers

I own a mobile scooter, but am unable to use it to the villge shops (1 mile),because of inadequate footpaths and insufficient lowered kerbs at on/off points. INCONSIDERATE PARKING: When not in use, where a drive or hard standing is available, cars should be parked therein, not left on the road all day causing an obstruction. BANKING: There is a need for a Bank in Long Ashton, particularly with all the new properties soon to be occupied both here and the proposed new development on the Barrow Hospital site. More reasonably priced bungalows should be built in Long Ashton for elderly people who have, in past years, been active participants in many pursuits in the village, and do not wish to leave the area.

Unfortunately Long Ashton is quickly losing its village status due to the huge housing development at the western end. What would I like to see in the next five years? No more building!

Parking opposite Angel pub creates problems No more houses Pavements tidied up Roads on the Birdwell Estate tarmaced properly The Co-op is an eye-sore More public awareness of plans to build on land from Ashton Gate through to Barrow. Important to stop this Doctors Surgery - they do their best but to get an appointment is a joke Our village has to stay a village More local based events Should enter Village of the Year

The speed of the traffic through Long Ashton is fine but the sheer volume of it more of a problem. 3.02 (better public Transport prefered) There should be more shops located at hte nailsea end of the village, with adequate customer parking. Parking is problem at the current post office area. Further housing development should be prevented. police present more at night.

Close off Yanley Lane to make it access only for residents. Put access road onto the bypass and off the bypass from Wild Country Lane/near Barrow Hospital to route the traffic from the Nailsea end of Long Ashton to the bypass rather than through the village. With the number of new houses put in amenities at the Nailsea end of the village i.e. pub/restaurant. Reduce speed limit on Yanley Lane to 20mph along its entirety from Glebe Road to the Woodspring golf and country club. I have lived in Long Ashton for 10 years and I have never been welcomed into the village and feel it's only for administration convenients that Yanley is part of Long Ashton, in fact if we had not rung the council we would not have received recycling bags and boxes. If the heading of Section 7 is correct then Yanley Lane is obviously not considered as the banks are eroded by the traffic and by fly tipping. Where is the Parish Councli action on that?

I'd like to see the old Northleaze School redeveloped, retaining essential character of the buildings. Retention of exisiting facilities, including pubs and shops. Would be fantastic to have regular Farmers Market/WI market, similar to Nailsea. Local taxi firm? Suggest steps be put into the corner of the new carpark for Northleaze School to allow safer access for people using the carpark for events at Church House. Congratulations on doing this survey and good luck with the next phase. Some suggestions in survey are a good idea, but possibly not economic to carry out.

Rumours circulating suggest that the old Northleaze School has been 'sold off cheaply' to a housing association. Rumours suggest that the building will become a halfway house for drug addicts, thieves and paedophiles - near Church House, also used by children. Local planning dept should notify the village as to what is 'actually' going to happen to the building. If the local Council has taken a 'back-hander' problems as highlighted in the latest 'Panorama' programme would occur.
