As a single person of 64, many of the issues do not concern me directly. Long Ashton may be better admininstered from Bristol, who may view LA as one of its vital green areas. Disappointed by infrequent bus service. Some buses which go down the bypass could go through the village. Minibus to park and ride would be useful. Some pavements narrow, but no space to widen. Would support local employment for local people. Nothing seems to happen from Neighbourhood Watch now, although there were meetings and leaflets to begin with. Strongly in favour of facilities for youngsters. Could the traffic lights at the Park and Ride be turned off when the P&R was not running.

Improve traffic flow through village in rush-hour. Extend Park & Ride to at least 8pm on all days. Improve traffic safety on blind bent driving down Providence Lane. Re-cycling expanded to plastics but also cardboard of all types. Turn Left sign needed going up Clarken Combe to indicate turning to Providence Lane/Long Ashton.

Really affordable housing as a much larger % of private development railway station park & ride open on weekends

Better and more frequent bus service would use park and ride for work, but service has deteriorated - more drivers/buses at peak times Park & ride during evenings would be useful

Why is the Park and Ride bus cheaper than the service bus to Bristol. Surely this is a subsidising people with cars in preference to people without! The Park and Ride has a more pleasant waiting area and provides car parking so it should be more expensive than the service bus. Pedestrian/cycling facilities along the main road are awful.

Opportunity missed to widen road by new development Park and Ride should be at Clist & Rattle end of Long Ashton

need 2 dedicated policemen - warden is too cheap poor driving and parking to be dealt with rather than speed park and ride not luggage friendly, not enough routes Dog-woners to respect gardens routes in and out of Bristol during rush hour past saturation point People moved due to lack of places in primary schools

Later park & ride open to use by drunkards double yellows would need policing Roads too narrow for buses, fire brigade etc Parking at Church House - car park should be used Parking residents only signs rush hour traffic & "shunts" at end of by-pass

Why use the Park & Ride if you live in LA? Surely it would be better to walk, use a bus or ride a bike - otherwise you are just adding to the congestion Public transport must & needs to be fully addressed before other road calming/speed restrictions are put in place The Mercury is a very important part of communication as an addition to the village Newsletter Welcoming new residents - I don't know how this would work as we moved in last August and haven't seen any publicity for such events. I would also be concerned that there appears to be much resentment to the new houses (and their occupiers) from older residents The health centre seems to be overwhelmed and it can tke time to get an appointment. Is it big enough to cope with the new influx of residents? The use of the car park for dropping off children for the schjool needs to be monitored, most parents still drop off in Copford Lane. Poor lighting at Co-op car park discourages my wife to shop there - its unsafe.

Heavy rush hour traffic through the village is a problem. More people would use the Park and Ride if there was a footpath to it from the Theynes Croft Estate.
