2.03: Traffic calming alwlays causes bottle-necks; enforcement and education are the ways forward. 2.07: The problem at Glebe Road has been exacerbated by the ill-placed school. Closing this would only move the problem elsewhere. There needs to be a proper connecting road between the A38 and A370 and Weston Road. 3.03: For whose benefit? 3.07 & 3.08: How can you compromise quality any further? Service is abysmal at best of times. We need to get VALUE FOR OUR MONEY! 3.10: Waiting areas need to be LIGHTED; most are in total darkness. Also the drain at the stop opposite Glebe Road needs clearing to prevent flooding. 3.12: I cycle a lot in the village. Major problem is the lack of courtesy and common sense displayed my MOST drivers. 5.01: Though delivered, it is always late - events on Thurs. Fri. or Sat. always get missed out because don't know about them until AFTER they have happened. 5.07/5.09: Each of these ideas has its pros and cons, and the degree of each will depend on the type of person the new resident is. It may be necessary to employ each on a trial and error basis to find which really works, but one thing is for certain, there needs to be clear, concise, relevant and TIMELY info. to help integrate - it's just like settling in to a new job. 7.03: Need to enforce the current rules esp. for those irresponsible dog owners. Also need more BINS. 7.02: Need to do something about the youths that hang around littering and abusing passers-by before ? 8.02: Pavements need to be widened for access reasons, and parking should be restricted esp. on the main road. 8.05: Not encountered problems. 9.03: Jobs in the village will create traffic! There has to be adequate traffic management plans for all new developments. 10.02: More annoyance than 'unsafe'. 10.04: Is there a service? 11.01/11.07: Facilities used by young people that cater to their interests is good, and will teach them skills, and provide the guidance they don't get at home. 11.08/11.10: Location would be an issue with these, though they would be good, as access would be paramount. 11.11/11.17: If dog mess is a problem, then enclose the pitch or prevent dog walking and enforce it - there are many other places to walk dogs, but need more poo bins. Something like a proper BMX track or skate park would help prevent the damage done in the woods by kids who build impromptu tracks and cause lots of damage, and put walkers and dogs at risk. Would also keep them off the streets, and give them an area they can call their own.

I have left many questions unanswered because a) they were not applicable, didn't affect me b)I do not like "should" questions 3.09 Timetables can be bought from the bus station and Travel 6 3.10 Bus stops - I need to be able to sit down, in the dry AND be able to see when a bus is coming. See Cleeve - (Bristol bound) - the near perfect bus stop. DO NOT let anyone replace/redo a bus shelter without asking someone who uses the bus. The stop by the Angel is a prime example of money being spent uselessly, 3.11 I do cycle, separation from cars would make life pleasanter and safer. 5.03 If you want the village newsletter to be a means of communication - 3 times a year is not enough. 6.03 More seats scattered perhaps would be more use - On the rec, public footpaths Dawson's walk etc. 6.06 Depends on the buses. BRI is fine. Southmead not. Clevedon no buses. WSM takes forever. 7.08 More planting, more upkeep. A shrub warden? 8.02 Pavements. Why not ask people to cut shrubs back? i.e ask them personally if they are able. Pay to help if not. 9.03 More jobs in L.A. may not lessen traffic 11.07 There is already several yoga classes & 2 taichi 8.01 Walking I walk anyway. Safer would mean pleasant AND safer. p.s. I would like a public loo near the village hall.

Footpaths and signs are now very good. More jobs in the village would not reduce traffic, as 'villagers' may not be employed in them. People using the village as a ratrun to avoid the bypass in rush hour are a problem. Bus lane on the bypass defeats the object! Increased parking by commuters at Ashton Court end of village is a problem. Parking on narrow sections of Weston Road is a problem. Lack of parking spaces for new houses on Research Station land is disgusting - the developers are making a fortune, putting very little back into the village. Traffic from Research Station development has increased and will get worse with commercial areas. The village is losing its identity.
