23 Jan 2009 - Public Meeting re village expansion
Public Meeting re village expansion
posted 23 Jan 2009
Next Tuesday at 7.30 in the Village Hall, there is an important meeting called by the Parish Council on the subject of the proposed massive urban extension of 10,500 new homes on our side of Bristol.
Michael Reep from North Somerset planning department will be giving latest information on the situation and answering questions.
There are other important issues around us – proposed new link road from the A370 to the A38; the new Bristol City stadium; developers wanting to double the size of Failand.......
There is the potential for concerned residents to get active to support the Parish Council in resisting this huge development. Charles Cave, PC Chair, has agreed that the meeting can be about more than hearing information. The LA group of the Alliance Against the South Bristol Ring Road would wind up and put it’s weight behind any new group that formed to fight to preserve the village’s identity.
Come along and see whether a new group comes into existence
