St Peter's Hospice Annual Collection 2008
The Annual Collection in Long Ashton will be taking place between 30th June and 5th July, with the street collection taking place on 5th July.
This year St Peter's Hospice celebrates it's 30th Anniversary of providing specialist care for people with terminal illnesses. The Anniversary also coincides with a new appeal to raise £100,000 to expand its Hospice at Home Service, to recruit additional nurses providing highly skilled Home Care to more families in the Bristol area than ever before. With your support this is possible so please consider making a donation to this appeal. To be able to provide this vital service to more patients than ever before in our 30th Anniversary year would be the perfect birthday gift. With a rapidly expanding village we are also in need of additional collectors, if anyone can spare a couple of hours to help this very worthy and local charity please contact:

The junction of the B3128 joining the A370 Long Ashton Bypass has been altered.Please give us your view of the changes by filling in the short questionnaire on the parish council web site.
Planning Consultations
It was excellent to see a big turnout at the Village Hall for the Planning Meeting on 15 November. I'll write more about this later, but in the meantime, the planning document is online here.
Parish Plan Survey
We're delighted to say that we have almost finished inputting the Parish Plan responses, and we have put them online, on this site, for you to see! You'll find a brief introduction here, and the responses and comments will be found linked from the Parish Plan section of the menu at the top of the page.
We're looking for new members of the Steering Group to move things forward to the next stage, which is the drafting of the Action Plan. If you'd like to be involved with this, you'd be very welcome!

Long Ashton Post Officeis now open all day on Wednesdays, and throughout lunchtimes. And don't forget - you can tax your car at the Post Office!
Long Ashton Library
Thanks to a contribution from the developers of the Reseach Station, the Library now has longer opening ours. See details on the Library page.
